Founded in 1934, the airline Continental flight was known as the “Fair of the birds with the golden tail.” Walter T. Varney and Louis Mueller was a founding member of this airline. On 15 July 1934 the first official flight took off from Pueblo, Colorado and landed in Texas. After the initial phase, the progress has been gradual, but steady over the years. The year 1982 saw the merger with the Texas International and five years later became the third largest airline in the United States. Progress has been enormous since its inception many years ago.
